Tip #1: don't use a Canon 5Dmk4 for video. Tip #2: if you are going to use it, then get yourself an external monitor to help you monitoring the image (i.e. to judge not just composition but focus and exposure as well with tools such as waveform monitoring). Get at least an Atomos Shinobi or a FeelWorld LUT6 or ANDYCINE C6, but an SmallHD 503

On models such as the EOS-1D X, 1D X Mark II, 5D Mark III, 5DS, 5DS R, 5D Mark IV and 7D Mark II the options to record to the two different card slots has become a complex menu as there are different ways you can set up your camera to use them. The menu item – called Record function + card/folder selection is found in the Setup menu.
Normally, images are recorded at the sensor size of approx. 36.0 mm x 24.0 mm (full-frame shooting). You can record only the center of the image magnified approx. 1.3x (equivalent to APS-H size) or approx. 1.6x (equivalent to APS-C size) as if you were using a telephoto lens (crop shooting) or set the desired aspect ratio before you shoot.
Developers can now write utilities to convert the 5D’s raw video files to Cinema DNG compatible with Resolve (not just standard DNG) and the camera can store raw clips in a single ‘.raw’ file. Magic Lantern themselves currently provide a converter for Windows (raw2dng.exe), hence the camera is freed up to just dump the data from the image
Settings: Shutter Speed 1/160, Aperture f/2.8, ISO 5000. Gear : Canon EOS 6D , Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. You can clearly see the grain in this photo, it’s especially evident in the midtones. Even with my shutter speed very slow and my aperture wide open I had to crank up my ISO a lot.
The problem with DSLR video is that it's really only useful for large-budget productions, where a DSLR is merely sitting-in for a real $250,000 35mm motion-picture camera. If Hollywood uses the 5D Mark II to shoot major motion pictures, then why isn't it good enough for me, especially if I'm already carrying it?
Twist the lens clockwise until it locks into place. Screw both caps together to keep the dust out of them. If you have a lens hood (EW-83H), attach it with the wavy edge facing outward. Align the single red dot on the hood to the tiny red line on the front of the lens, then turn clockwise until it snaps into place.
The Canon 5D Mark IV offers a modest improvement in its frame rate or burst rate, besting the 6 fps in the Mark III with a 7 fps rate in the Mark IV. It would still be difficult to tout this as a serious wildlife or sports camera (currently the Canon 7D Mark II and the 1DX Mark II are much faster) but an improvement is an improvement.
Significantly, the 5D Mark IV is the first full-frame Canon DSLR to be able to shoot continuously while using Live View servo autofocus (the APS-C Canon EOS 80D does this as well). Though the camera will slow its burst rate to a maximum of 4.3 fps in this mode, it works very well, is quite accurate and can be handy for allowing the camera to

4. Press the button and turn off the display on the LCD monitor, and then turn the camera's power switch to . 5. Plug the supplied USB cable into the USB port on your computer. The port's location differs between computers. Please refer to the documentation provided with your computer for more information. 6.

Dual Pixel RAW on the Canon 5D Mark IV will allow photographers to digitally correct optical errors after taking a shot -- but only to a very small degree. (including when shooting video

To print a 16 x 20 at 240 dpi your image would need to be 3840 x 4800 pixels. (16 inches times 240 dpi = 3840, 20 inches times 240 dpi = 4800 pixels). Usually 300 dpi is the default standard wanted by most printers, commercial or home. There are certain other things you can do to your image to improve its quality when printed. The EOS Webcam Utility requires that the camera be put into “Movie Mode.”. The way to do that on the 5D Mark IV is to use the switch on the back of the camera, as shown below: 5D Mark IV Video Mode Switch. Once in movie mode, you can choose to use any of the shooting modes at your disposal on the top of the camera (M, Av, Tv, P, or full auto). I'm wondering if you registered the C3 settings. Switch to video mode. Make the setting changes you want. Menu -> wrench icon/tab 5 -> Custom shooting mode -> register setting -> select custom shooting mode 3. switch to picture mode. press record button and verify the settings you wanted are correct. aUaXl.
