I started the car 2004 cmax 1.6 diesel tcdi this afternoon and I heard this 'whirring' noise coming from the engine bay. Then my Ignition warning light came on. Looks like a battery (red). I understand its the alternator.

Hi. The missus has got an 05 1.6i petrol C-max with 57k on the clock. Apparently today the battery light came on and wouldn't go out.. I checked connections and everything was as should be so dug or my OBD2 cable and hooked it up to the laptop and ran the Formidable programme.

Same exact situation with me. I have a ‘14 C-Max. I had the battery changed a few months ago because it wouldn’t start on a cold winter morning. But this summer, twice now I’ve had to boost it! Its definitely not because of the cold, so not sure whats going on. As of right now, the car won’t turn on, so I’ll need to boost it… again.
